Assume you're coming to Houston?

Ciro's for Italian on the west side off I-10.
Brennans downtown is another good spot.
Brenners off I-10 is good as well.
Rainbow Lodge for more exotic food.
Taste of Texas is another good spot on the west side of town. Pick your own steak place.

Check out Nobies. One of the quirkiest restaurants I've ever been to but damn their food always delivers. Save room for dessert to because they have awesome pies.
