I swear I have seen this discussed somewhere but can't find a thread via search.

What are tips for the air show? Looking at taking the kids sunday to at least see the blue angels.

If you can get the tickets for the seated area, it is 100% worth it.

If you want to spend time looking at the static displays get there early. Like when it opens early.

Tora, Tora, Tora is impressive. You will not be disappointed if you are there for that. I would not try to time getting there "just in time" for the Blue Angels, only because parking and getting into the show area will be more difficult. Just plan to make a day of it and enjoy the whole show.

About halfway through the blue angels get heading toward the exit.

You can still see them as you head toward the car, avoiding the traffic getting out of there is worth it

Make a day of it. Get there early, bring your chairs and stake out a spot close to the front, then go look at the static aircraft. Lots of cool performances to watch, looks like they have some unique ones this year.

The Blues will perform on Friday but it will be around 2;30 and not during the special show hours. The demo teams have always in the past performed Friday afternoon as a warm up for the weekend.

Definitely go early for the static aircraft. Park near the back and close to and facing an exit.

We always got tickets to family pavilion. Came with some food and tables to eat and watch the show.

Park towards the back of the lot and make the walk. Will make getting out a breeze.

Went yesterday for the whole day (and still made it back to B/CS to watch the Ags beat LSU from my tv at home).

The Tora Tora Tora guys are definitely worth seeing, lots of action and cool pyrotechnics. Viper demo team is an absolute must see as well, so I agree with the guys saying don't just go for the Blue Angels. Lots of cool static aircraft displays to look at before and during the main Airshow part.

Unfortunately the Viper Demo team usually sets up a tent with some merchandise and their pilot usually hangs around it for a while as well, but they didn't set it up yesterday for some reason. I was wanting to get a special 50 year challenge coin they've been selling at airshows. So if any Ag reads this and is going today and happens to have a chance to visit their tent and pick up a coin, I'd make it worth your while to have one shipped over to me.
