Howdy Y'all,
TLDR:
If you/someone you know is moving to/within the Memorial Park Area soon, I will pay for at minimum of a month's rent if they specifically rent my unit. I already moved out and the unit is available starting November 19th. Important to note that this would not be a subleasing situation, this would be a new lease with the complex, just specifically for my unit (#255).
My Phone #: 512-450-4569
Apartment complex: https://www.districtatwashington.com/
Located I-10 and TC Jester
EDIT: 1 bedroom 710 SF, I currently pay $1660 but looks like they've dropped rent down closer to $1400.
Please reach out if you want to know more, and feel free to read onwards for some more context!
Context:
I have a bit of a unique situation regarding breaking my apartment lease and was hoping to post here to see if anyone (or a soon to graduating family member) was looking for an apartment in the Memorial Park area. I'll lay it out super briefly below, but will also include my cell number if t anyone wants to discuss further!
The new wife and I (FTA c/o '20), just got married last weekend and I am leaving my apartment complex to move into her place. The way the terms of my lease are laid out, instead of a break fee, I have to pay out the remainder of the lease (which runs through April) and then will get paid back whatever portion remains once a new tenant rents my unit. I am also currently a second year MBA Candidate at Rice and do not have an income (other than my savings account) at the moment, so obviously leaving it up to fate that my unit gets rented between now and April is a bit stressful. I already paid my portion to the property management company, but I was hoping to reach out to the Houston Network and see if anyone was going to be moving to the "Greater Heights Area" soon or had friends/family that would be in the market for an apartment soon. If so, I would be willing to pay a month's rent (or more depending on timing) for you/them to specifically rent my unit.
Yes, I know this is a dumb situation to find myself in (how we got here is a bit frustrating on my end, but it ends up making sense with the full explanation). While I would appreciate any words of wisdom or chastising that you might want to add, I would appreciate if we could just keep this focused on the goal!
The apartment complex is The District at Washington https://www.districtatwashington.com/ and is located on TC Jester between I-10 and Washington Ave. Not the newest or most fancy place, but its reasonably priced, safe, and in a great location!
Feel free to shoot me a PM on here, or reach out to me at 512-450-4569. Also if there are any Facebook groups or other ways to get this out there, I'd appreciate the word getting spread! I would do it myself but have been off of social media (except twitter of course) for a while now.
Appreciate anyone who read this far and God Bless!
Thanks and Gig 'Em
