Update?
HPD did not provide me with one. I just hope the police coming by to talk to him about beating his dog is enough make him rethink how he treats animals.
I've always been told if you want to know someone's real character, watch how they treat animals.
Yeah, someone who abuses an animal is likely a sh**head, but on the flip side, there is a high correlation between extreme love for animals/pets and mental illness. A lot of psychos seem to love animals more than humans. From my experience, people who obsess over animals tend to range from craxy to just flat out horrible miserable people.
This is wrong. People seek out the companionship from animals to receive and give love and affection. Animals are very nurturing and calming. Hence why we have service dogs that help Veterans or individuals with PTSD.
Those people that strike their animals and hit their dogs beyond what is necessary for simple discipline are more closely linked to being a "psycho". Animal Cruelty is more linked to sadism and psychopathy than "adopting too many cats". Antisocial behavior, lack of empathy, no remorse, etc are going to be the ones who beat their dogs in public and in front of their kids.
