You haven't driven around north of there lately have you? Katy is almost completely built out and Brookshire has probably 15,000 new homes that will be built in the next 3-5 years. The school district is also planning on adding new schools to keep up with the growth.
Brookshire today is what Katy was in the late-1980's.

Except nobody wants their kids going to Royal ISD. That's Brookshire's Achilles heel.

Ironically……I have a BS and PhD in chemistry………failed the English proficiency exam the College of Science required at the time…….had to do a little remedial English studies.

Earlier than that. Like 2021 maybe. But it's been a distribution center for them and it's being converted into the battery manufacturing plant.
