I'm not naive enough to think that "free" chips and salsa aren't priced in but $5 or $6? F' that!
Also, who uses Vegas as an example on how things should be done in Houston!? Vegas is a tourist town that lives by "there's a sucker born every minute."

I can count on the fingers of one hand how many times I have been to a Mexican restaurant that charged for chips and salsa, and none of them were in Texas and none of them charged more than $5.Ryan the Temp said:

At SF, they probably get tired of drunks sitting there ordering round after round of "free" appetizers. They are not free to the restaurant.
