here's the timeline.

Back in the fall, Dr. Calabrese was suspended and ultimately fired quite abruptly. The district did not provide much in the way of answers.

Local screechers of the F Mike Miles F Greg Abbott type immediately began squawking that she was fired because she stood up to the administration trying to implement unnecessary changes at Harvard Elementary.

Gofundme is setup to help the single mother through trying times.


Fast forward to now, it comes to light that she participated in the reality show 90 Day Fianc. Some quickly went and found the shooting schedule for the show. It happened at some point during this school year.

Maybe she asked for permission to take time off to go on the show and they denied it. Or maybe she didn't request time off at all. Just left.

But, knowing the world we live in today. It sure seems like the firing was of her own making.

Whenever someone in Education introduces themselves as "Dr……"

I'm a teacher, never finished my M.S. in Entomology, and I feel the same way. Doctorates in education are a dime a dozen and 90% of the people I know that have them are morons. But arrogant. The worst combo.

I heard from someone in the "know" at Harvard that she took "medical leave of absence" to audition for the show. And she was found out.

And, even at that point, she wasn't fired. She was given a choice: turn down the show and keep your job or do the show and lose your job.

The only time I've every said "uhh, my title is Dr., not Mr." Was in a deposition.

And yes, i used every bit of contempt and distain. Heck, even when i taught at A&M in engineering, i said i didn't care, but that there are other profs who do, so get used to calling people Dr in case.

It's either;

1) Low effort trolling
or
2) A low IQ individual that wants to blame the hatchet man for the mess the teacher union and a fraudulent administration created.

My BIL interviewed to be on "Survivor" many years ago. Made the first cut here in Houston and then went to Austin for a second round of interviews.

Being a family man with two young children, they told him he was "too boring" to be on the show. They were explicitly looking for someone like a thrice divorced, multiple baby daddy, domestic violence, drug dealing gangbanger type.

Nearly everyone has given up on urban K-12 reform. Politicians no longer talk about it. There's but one city, Houston, attempting wholesale reform and early results are incredibly promising. Cities from across the US are starting to pay attention.
