Anyone know of a place or person that will let a law student sign a 6 week lease in Amarillo? I will possibly be up that way May-June. Or does anyone need a sublettor?

I am clean, don't smoke, forgotten whats its like to have a life, and very pleasant in general. If you know of, or know someone that know of, a place please let me know.

Money is a factor and extended stay hotels are expensive!

Also, any parts of town a single woman should stay away from?? Thanks!

Do you know any students at WTAMU? Maybe you could house sit between the spring and summer semesters for one on them?

What about apartments? The ones in Canyon might like someone taking a short rental in the summer when they are normally empty.

Our kids will be coming back for the summer by then, but I'm trying to think of someone with room.

Is this a short term job, or what?

And the newest, nicest parts of Amarillo are to the southwest, pretty much like Lubbock.

My daughter did an internship in Amarillo for a firm and she got a corporate lease at Wellington Manor apartments. Not too bad a place and rent was reasonable. Furnished, maid service and linens and kitchen equipment provided. Email me if you have questions.

We spent a day looking for short term leases in Amarillo and this was by far the best. This was way better then a long term hotel deal. She had a two bedroom and shared the place with a friend from the same law school.

Yes, it is a short term job--6 week summer associate position at a large firm in Amarillo. I haven't accepted the offer yet, but I'm strongly leaning towards it.

Spider - what was the cost for Wellington Manor? The extend stay hotels that I looked at ran about $2k for 6 weeks...I'd prefer to save a little money this summer and apply that towards my fall tuition.

I haven't looked on Craig's List or at any WTAMU listings. Those are very good ideas.

Thanks for any and all help.

If I remember correctly her part was 910 for the six weeks. If you have any questions I can get you her e-mail. She had a great internship in Amarillo but went with a firm elsewhere. You can contact me at schnell@valornet.com and I will send you her e-mail. I think she can give you some helpful insights concerning Amarillo firms.
