We are contimplating going through with our Boy Scout Campout in Mineral Wells this weekend. Coming from Houston tonight. Should arrive in MW around 1am. For those living up there, is this a good idea with the weather? I heard there is a fire ban, is this true. I appreciate your help, 24 young men are looking forward to this, but safety might be an issue.

Might try Central Texas/Metroplex. MW isn't exactly Panhandle/South Plains.
