Does anyone know of any part time jobs around Amarillo beside being a waiter/bartender etc. I work 8-5 Monday through Friday, but am looking for something either a few nights a week and or on the weekends. My wife and I are trying to pay off student loan etc, and save for a house. My wife has also thought about babysitting if anyone needs a night off from the kids! We are both graduates from A&M so I'm sure she would teach them the fight song, traditions, anything else required for the early child brainwashing

Dave Ramsey always says that delivering Pizzas is good. Just take the Aggie sticker off the back of the car, lest we have another photo war with tceh.

I've seen that the Schwans in Canyon often wants night time help loading trucks. I wonder if FedEx or UPS has similar jobs?

No specific suggestions, sorry.

Yeah we went through his book! Really good advice. If I do deliver pizzas, i'll take the former student sticker off and put on two cling ons of tech and texas!

Dhharder,

I'm in the same boat. I'm holding an 8-5 and working a part time to pay off loans myself. I know Cracker Barrel is currently hiring for several positions aside from just being a waiter. They are really flexible in working with your schedule not to mention they pay more than minimum and such. Hit me up if you want more info.

I've wondered about Best Buy's "Geek Squad". They charge the customers $100/hour, don't know what the techs actually get. Looks like there would be lots of after-hours positions, as most folks would want help after work.

A couple of days ago, our elderly neighbors asked for help with an atomic clock they got for Christmas. It was an hour off, all I did was set it for the right time zone.

I've often thought that type of thing could be a good part-time business. Helping older folks with computers, electronic devices, or just light house-keeping, such as changing light bulbs.

I don't mind doing it for neighbors, but I'd bet there are lots of folks who don't have helpful/knowledgeable neighbors.
