any good places in Lubbock to eat mexican food at?

Depends on what class you want, and I am sure whatever I suggest will be refuted by someone else. Abuelo's is one place in Lubbock I have always been very happy with, much better than the one in College Station. Josie's are Mamaritas's are a few of the more mid-priced good options.

The last couple of times I was in Josie's, I thought it was over-priced for what you get.

Durangos - Brownfield Hwy...you have to fight construction but its worth it

Garcia's is on Slide Rd. and about 54th Street in that new center.

Went to Mamarita's last week and it just wasn't the same as it used to be. The chips were thin, the taco salad shells were over fried, the queso tasted like cheez whiz and the cheese on the nachoes seemed artificial (it wasn't fully melted).

Too bad. It was one of my favorite places to go when I go home.

Maybe I'll try 'em again to make sure it's gone to pot before just saying it's gone to pot.

Don Pablo's is closed. Lucky for me, there are several in Fort Worth.

Is Montelongo's on Clovis Rd still open.

If so, it was really good a few years ago.

That Don Pablo's used to be kick arse. Last time I ate the was about 12 years ago though.

I can't believe no one mentioned Lujan's. By far the best quesadillas I've ever had!! I also go there at least twice when I come home.

Meh, I'm not a fan of lujans. Mostly cause I don't like their fajitas.
