So the time is finally arriving! I'm graduating! The fam is coming in and I would like to go to the Double Nickle after graduation (May 9 around 7ish).

I know its expensive. I've never been and the parents don't mind springing for a nice meal celebrating my last day as a student.

How far in advance do I need to make reservations? About how much time should I allow for getting from Tech to Double Nickle? I remember at A&M, we almost missed our reservation because of the heavy traffic.

Also, what are your opinions on the Double Nickle?

Ok, so nix the Double Nickle. They apparently don't have enough good sense to be open for lunch during graduation weekend.

I'm open to suggestions. I don't want to go to Cagle's since I've been there and I'd like some place a little nicer (and I wasn't impressed with the steak). I haven't seen my family in a while and I'd like a place where we can visit while enjoying food from a locally owned place.

I'm thinking 50 Yard Line, Stellas, Gardski's, Cafe J...? Suggestions?

We will be eating around 3 since graduation is at dinner time.

I second the Las Brisas suggestion. I'd make reservations immeidately for the restaurant.

Might try Sirloins for Steaks or Donny Anderson's Red Raider Inn.
