I hope everyone is aware that only four Texas TV markets were originally scheduled to air our game against Utah State Friday afternoon. The 3:45 start means that most of the game will be played during a 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. window during which most non-West Coast CBS affilliates carry local programming and/or the national news. Originally, only BCS, Houston, Waco, and Tyler were scheduled to carry the game. Austin and Dallas were added today. I've contacted the station in Wichita Falls and they are working on getting the game picked up, but folks further west may have to rely upon the satellite channel CBS College Sports in order to see the game.

KAUZ in WF will now carry the game. Good luck to you guys out west in getting your affilliates to carry it.

Amarillo area Ags: according to KFDA's programming schedule online, they are not carrying the game. All Ags in the Amarillo area need to call their programming department and ask that they carry the game (not sure if it will help - but surely can't hurt!)

UPDATE: A&M web site says all Texas CBS stations will carry the game. No need to call KFDA.

On a side note, they never responded to my email, but I sent them a second email saying "never mind".

Someone from programming at KFDA called me today and said that they will carry the game!!

WHOOP!!

They said that CBS had originally authorized it for all Texas markets except for Amarillo and Lubbock - but they got everything worked out late last night or this morning and that KFDA would be able to carry. I told him that I would let other Ags know!
