Love it or hate it? I've lived here 38 years, and I still can't get used to the wind in the spring. Guess I never will. Just about the time I have had enough and want to move, summer finally arrives. Summer, fall and a good portion of winter are pretty nice overall up here. Solution? Perhaps live in Central Texas during the spring! Once summer heat and humidity arrive, return to the South Plains! Impractical, but its all I've got so far.....well, besides moving to San Diego year round.

When I was a kid driving a tractor, I used to enjoy watching the thunderstorms build in the distance.

Other places get thunderstorms, but with their visibility, you really don't see them much.

Love it, but I miss it (no longer there).

I'm in Central Texas now, and the spring wind the past two years hasn't exactly been calm.

College Station....just about everything. Well, I don't particularly miss blowing dirt. Monday and yesterday my walk to work felt like swimming. And today we have a monsoon on our hands.

Just moved back to Amarillo after seven years in CS and I can't believe how amazing it is here. I never thought I would be able to walk around in 95 degree heat and not sweat. I'd be dying in CS right now. Been watching a thunderstorm line build in the distance and its finally here. Gonna go out on the porch and enjoy it!

Love it. I HATE the weather down-state.

It's funny. Those spring months test your patience, and then suddenly things calm down. Weather has been great since mid to late June, although much wetter than normal. Like I said, if I could just live in Central Texas from January through May then move back up here for the rest of the year it would be great!

I'm in Houston now. I hate this damn humidity.

I miss the cool summer evenings.

I miss the lightning shows of thunderstorms in the distance.

I miss four, distinct seasons.

I miss snow. Yes, I said it. I miss the snow.

Mostly though, I miss the cool summer evenings.

But, there are a lot more reasons to never live in that town again versus the weather to bring me back.

However, I just enjoy the rain too much to live there.

Monsoon today. We've gotten close to 2 inches here in town (Canyon) in about an hour.

Canyon- we've gotten a sprinkle in Hereford. Saw the flash flood advisory for Canyon though.
