I have a immediate need I to share with all of you who love Young Life Amarillo. I called our accounting department to see where our Young Life area sits financially for July. As of today if nothing else changes, Amarillo Young Life will finish the month $6988 behind (or in the red).

Young Life nationally allows its staff grace months of reduced pay instead of making staff take a leave of absence. The thought behind reduced pay is to decrease expenses, allowing the area to catch up financially. What does this mean for Amarillo Young Life? If nothing changes by the end of the month, I will enter a second month of reduced pay of 50%. Here is where I can use your help. Being on assignment at Frontier, I am afraid people in Amarillo are not aware of our financial need. I am currently receiving 75% of my salary as a result of our deficit.

Young Life Amarillo has to raise $3600 by July 31st at midnight, to keep me in a grace month and maintain 75% of my salary.

If we were to raise $6988 By July 31st at midnight, I will return to return a full pay check!

I can't think of another job I would rather do than serve as Area Director of Amarillo Young Life. I believe in the ministry that is taking place in Amarillo, and hope to serve you for many years to come. I have lots of support from Young Life national, my boss Pete Johnson, and the young life committee. We are working hard on a long term solution to raising more funds. If you can help us in the short term, or know someone who can help give a donation to Amarillo YL, please forward this e-mail to them.
