I am going to be visiting Lubbock next week for the first time in several years. Just curious if there were any new restaurants, pub-type bars or other attractions to visit.

Is that microbrewery/restaurant in the Depot District still open?
Yes, it changed from Hub City to Triple J's. Still in the same building though.

My suggestions: Burgers, Fries, & Cherry Pies; Spanky's, and George's Chicken.
A few of our favorite casual places to grab dinner and a beer are Blue Sky Burgers (on 98th) or Fuzzy's Taco Shop (on Broadway), or for something a little nicer, we like Stella's (50th) and Manna Bread & Wine (Marsha Sharp access road).

Burgers, Fries and Cherry Pies was awesome, for a while. They're closed now.
I don't get out much, but ditto on Blue Sky and Manna. Stella's wasn't my cup of tea, but is pretty good. I really like Triple J. There are a couple new restaurants on 98th...I hear Rain Uptown is pretty good, but haven't tried it yet.

Triple J's is owned by the same folks that own Bigham's BBQ.
Is Blue Sky the same Blue Sky that they have up in Amarillo?
