One more year that we beat the Raiders and you don't have to listen to them. No one outside of West Texas understands what it is like all year long when they win.

I actually set at the game with several old friends from Turkey. All of their families are Tech grads. But they have two freshmen girls who chose to go to A&M.

And boy, do I agree. So nice to shut them up for another year. The funny thing is when they expect you to be a jerk to them the next week after the game. Then you just shrug your shoulders and say "It's just tech. No big deal."

Drives them bonkers.

Agreed! Hubby and I were both dreading the ribbing we expected to get from all the Tech fans when we moved to this area last spring. But it's been totally bearable since we beat them last year and now our guys just bought us another year of silence from Raider fans. Woo hoo!

Very happy. I keep congratulating all of my friends on their new coach and his smashmouth football scheme. I told them we would be able to get that head to head matchup, lopsided again.

My wife (tech alum) refuses to talk to me about it. However she still yells for the Ags as long as they are not playing tech. Years ago I lost a bet with her regarding this game and had to outfit the downstairs bathroom in tech garb. Thankfully I got to take that down last year.

Hope I am not too late asking.
Killer who are your friends from Turkey. I probably will not know them but might know the family name. My dad is from there and my grandmother still lives there.
Oh and by the way Canyon my mom is from your neck of the woods.

a buddy I grew up with and still am in contact with, one that you are friends with KillerK, called me up after the beatdown last year so I could talk trash to him.

I just said, "nah, I'll show you how to win with a little class".

I think that made him madder than if I would have said "Tceh sucks".

Almost exactly the way my wife handled her tceh co-workers. They show up on Monday expecting to get their noses rubbed in the game, and she just shrugs like it's no big deal.

Drives them insane.

I was over at his house one time and he was looking/working on his exhaust system. The jackass who sold it to him had taken aluminum cans and wrapped the pipes with them and tied them on will bailing wire because it had so many holes in it.

I went to Cup Night with him in '83. He, Denny, and me all went in a very small pickup. I thought it was a Courier. It may not have been.

He is a great guy, is he in Plainview now? For some reason I think that is what I heard.

For what it's worth, he said today he's not interested in the U, and he's staying in Lubbock. He's always struck me as genuine, so maybe he wasn't looking to leave. Maybe he just wasn't offered. Who knows?

Rumor has it that he wants to be the next AD. I've heard this from multiple people. First time, it was Tubs as AD and Holgerson as HC. We know how that turned out. But I have heard the "Tubs as AD" part several times.
