THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE IS TRANSMITTED AT THE REQUEST OF THE AMARILLO
EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT OFFICE.

A WILDFIRE IS THREATENING NORTHEAST POTTER COUNTY AND A MANDATORY
EVACUATION HAS BEEN ORDERED FOR: MESILLA PARK...EL RANCHO...AND WEBB
ROAD IN NORTHEAST POTTER COUNTY. PEOPLE IN THOSE LOCATIONS HAVE BEEN
ORDERED TO EVACUATE IMMEDIATELY.

Yeah, pretty bad SE of Amarillo, NE of Canyon. Here in the city limits of Canyon, no problem. Lost power about 30 minutes, no big deal.

TV says entire city of Matador has been evacuated.

Saw on the news that Borger (Hwy 136 closed) and areas west of Panhandle. Areas around Lake Tanglewood and River Falls seemed hit hard, too.

Have family in Borger and they have said that people in most areas should evacuate to the Aluminum dome

Any other counties ?

My brother is the superintendant at Tanglewood and said they lost 10 homes out there.
