I never knew about it, but I would like it and forget about the fake lights and painted windows. No windows and total darkness if perfectly fine with me.

I remember an underground house near Halfway, Tx on the north side of HWY 70.

Built in the late 70's, It was only had the front out of the ground. I remember that it was quite a topic then.

Swayze's house sounds really interesting. I am surprised that growing up that close and having many friends and relatives there, I never heard about it.

I asked this on the other thread too...is that the house on 20th Street down from Edgemere?

We always just called it the hole. I had friends that lived a couple doors down from it and we'd ride our bikes past it constantly hoping to see the cavemen our older siblings told us lived there.

Prof, do you have a better address, or can you find it on Google Maps?

Yep, remember that one, too. I believe it is older than you think. It's been there as long as I recall, and I can recall further back than the 70s......sadly.

Ok, I can't get the exact address, but it is at the point that Canyon T's into West 20th.

West of Edgemere and on the north side of the street.

Yep, I bet that's it. Link below shows the garage/entrance and the ventilation chimney. And one of the cavewomen was my ex-cousin-in-law.
