I know nothing about fishing at all to be honest but the only places I would think to try would be either buffalo springs lake or lake alan Henry which is about 45-50 minutes out of Lubbock near post.

Do not eat the fish from Lake Henry. The lake is contaminated with mercury and the fish are not safe to consume.

If lake Meredith wasn't so dry you could go up there as a third option, but Buffalo or Alan Henry is about as good as it gets up there.
