When you reply, click the link to the left of the reply box that says "Your Reply: (forum code help)"

Basically:
Use brackets [] instead of parentheses () as in the following examples
you type (url)
Paste link
type (/url) behind link
leave no spaces before or after your link

Example (url)http://v4.texags.com/(/url) Use brackets [] and you get http://v4.texags.com/

A trick they don't tell you about is changing a long url to a short message. For instance the link to a map of Kyle Field is

(url)https://maps.google.com/maps?q=kyle+Field&hl=en&sll=35.201967,-101.80494&sspn=0.318129,0.441513&t=h&hq=kyle+Field&z=16(/url)

When I put [] instead of () I get

https://maps.google.com/maps?q=kyle+Field&hl=en&sll=35.201967,-101.80494&sspn=0.318129,0.441513&t=h&hq=kyle+Field&z=16

The trick is to use the format (url=link)Name of Link(/url) which gives

(url=https://maps.google.com/maps?q=kyle+Field&hl=en&sll=35.201967,-101.80494&sspn=0.318129,0.441513&t=h&hq=kyle+Field&z=16)Map of Kyle Field(/url)

and when I use brackets []

Map of Kyle Field
