So anyone have an opinion as to the best foundation repair company in the Amarillo area? Got a 50+ year old pier-and-beam house that is settling excessively.

Hate to spend the $$$, but the alternative is not good.

I seem to recall a TexAgs poster is related to the folks that run one of them. I recall that his family refers to a fancy development in SW Amarillo as "The Toy Box". That's because it's built around a playa lake (notorious shrinking/swelling clay) and that profits from repair in that area has bought them several "toys" over the years.

That's me, my aunt And cousin own Childers brothers.
They just did a piers and beam adjustment on my pastors house. If it's just settling you may not need to drill new piers, just adjust the different ones. Has there been lots of changes recently?

About the last 6-8 months, it seems to be developing new cracks and binding doors. The house lays N-S, with the eaves shedding water onto the E and W sides.

My observation is that the south end of the house is dropping away from the rest of the house. If anything needs to be adjusted/shored, I'd say it is the perimeter, especially the south end.

Is there a hefty "casual acquaintance of our nephew on TexAgs discount"?
