119 mph winds!

Last night's storm hit Oslo pretty hard. My younger brother has a little weather station at the house and it required a top wind speed of 119 mph.

That may explain why his barn blew over.

Actually, that barn was in such bad shape that I wouldn't have been surprised if a 30 mph wind blew it over.

One of the neighbors three miles away measured a wind speed of 110.

Another neighbor had a 1400 gallon tank that was blown away by the wind. At least, they think it was blown away. They can't find the tank or any sign of it hitting the ground and taking out crops or of it going through fences. Where it went is still a mystery.

We found the tank. I stopped and helped the neighbor load it on a pickup to take it home. It was more than a mile from where it blew from.
