I went on wheat harvest as a young man and when I told folks I grew up in Texas, an old man in Montana, asked me if the women there really bathed in Sweetwater and dressed in Plainview!

"Amarillo By Mornin" was written and performed first by Terry Stafford - a graduate of Palo Duro High in 1960 and a classmate of mine. Great song! George made a lot of $$ while Stafford's demise was "Suspicion"...
