I have a WFSC degree and would like to begin putting it to use. My long term goal is to get into Environmental consulting, but any kind of experience helps. My wife is in nursing school here so long distance relocation isn't an option but I'm not opposed to any commute if the job is right.

I have experience in trapping and banding birds as well as radio telemetry and triangulation. I worked for a lab here at Tech for a few months but their research schedule and my wedding schedule didn't work out and I had to move on.

Any and all kinds of leads or advice is welcome.

Could you slide into Ag Research at a seed company, or USDA Experiment Station?

I would be willing to try. All my research experience is with birds but I can't imagine the transition would be too difficult.

Why not apply to tceq? You get to make in roads with basically every industry and learn quite a bit before deciding what you really would like to do.

I'm late to the party, but I want to second trying TCEQ. The pay is not great but the time off is awesome and I am told that these are the people companies like to recruit consultants from.
