Looking to relocate in the next 3-4 months; possibly to Amarillo. I've been there a couple of times in the last 18 months but haven't really paid much attention to specific areas. Probably be looking for apartments for the first 1-2 years so I'm interested in parts of town with options for complexes etc.

Flying kind of blind so any suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance.

Most of the city expansion has all been to the SW for the last 30 years. That's where the new/newer homes and subdivisions are as well as most of the new economic growth. Historical areas are very nice around Amarillo College. Do you have kids, various school needs?

Thank you. Pretty much what I was looking for. No kids or school requirements. Been sidetracked for a bit but will start looking in-depth this weekend.

If you're coming from a big city, commuting will be different. Lots of folks work in Amarillo and live in outlying communities. We know lots of people who live in Canyon, but work at the Pantex plant NE of Amarillo
