quote:I know it saves miles to cut off at Slaton, and it is a bit more interesting drive, but I doubt it saves time.
I have found that cutting up 400 just before Lubbock to Plainview cuts a few minutes and a lot of time off the trip...
Any time gained is lost by slowing down through several intersections and big delays getting through Plainview. There's no quick way to get from FM400 back to I-27 through PVW. I'd be willing to bet going to Lubbock and hopping on the Interstate is several minutes quicker.
