Anyone else been there? If so, do you think it is pretty cool, or just cheesey?

i have not been but heard it is pretty neat. i'm looking forward to the new sushi bar.

I liked it. They had trouble with the rain show when I was there though. For those of you who haven't been there: they also have a VIP room with a private garage and private entry. Tadamichi said that they serve people for $200 per person. Seems a bit ridiculous for Amarillo to me, but what do I know.

I know of a few celebs who frequent area, and I think John Madden always stops with his coach when he's passing through.

are you serious about celebs coming to Amarillo area?

i'm just curious if it is b/c they are rolling through I-40 or they love the scenery?

i love amarillo and live there but can't imagine that many celebs frequenting the area so please educate if so inclined.

The cheese factor is very high. We got stuck in a back room (not on the boat). It was actually cooler to view the rain storm from in there, but it was hot as hell.

Major thumbs up on the new sushi bar though.

Other than Madden, two more that I know for sure to come through frequently are Matthew Mcconaughey and Michael Douglas who I think has family in the area or something.

the new kabuki is first class, i heard that he spent north of $5 million on that place. UNBELIEVABLE. we went on a Tuesday night and it was a 30-40 minute wait and we still didnt get on the boat.

the sushi was first class, i mean really good for amarillo - i was thoroughly impressed and it is cool to have a japanese beer on draft.

I ate there last night. The rain was neat but the drummers on the water were a bit cheesey. The food was great but a little higher than the old place. The beer was great.
