Does anyone know of a good location to take some boy scouts winter camping in New Mex and also do some tubing/sledding. I wish we could ski, but it's not in the budget this year.

it's a little late in the year now. My boy scout troop went to tres ritos every year. right next to sipapu ski resort.
Tony, you weren't in troop 80 by any chance? We did that trip every year also.

I started in like '99 and was in for at least 6 years. Got my eagle my junior year of HS. How bout you?
My son's troop (406 in Lubbock) goes to Tres Ritos every year in January. We actually camp in the area above the main camp, along the trail to Angostura meadow.

Have you thought about Philmont? They have off-season programs, including winter camping.
