I will never forget being in lubbock for a few days and hearing john robison saying-in a straight voice "...and a breezy 30 mile an hour wind." That breezy day is a tropical depression for the rest of the world.

I don't think John Robison ever changes his tone of voice, at least I've never heard him do it. He could forecast "100% chance of tornadoes, we're probably all going to die with the same level of excitement as "it looks like a nice sunny spring day."

Ron "Run for the Hills" Roberts, on the other hand, likes to get dramatic and remind everyone of the tornado safety tips every two minutes.

West Texas Ag.... my son, Ross, was BHS class of 1988. My daughter, Joni, was class of 1986. I doubt you would remember my oldest daughter who was class of 1983.

How come every time I look go to this forum and see the title of this topic, "West Texas Wind", my initial thought is that it is about a classical music quartet from Canyon?

I know both Ross and Joni. Ross was a great football player, and Joni was a great tennis player. I actually had a crush on Joni when I was in junior high! Is Ross still coaching somewhere?

West Texas Ag... Ross is the defensive coordinator for the BHS Cubs. He's been around to other high schools, but has somehow found himself back in Brownfield.

That's great! I will have to catch a BHS game this fall. As for a hint, my Dad was the school board president for several years. We also went to the Methodist Church. I got to know Ross a little through the youth group there.
