I would say Blue Sky in Amarillo. It may be the best I've ever had.

It is closed now, but there was a place in clarendon called Howell's Chili House. They had a burger called the Ragin' Cajun.

Another really great burger can be had if you visit the lodge in Platuro, Colorado. Of course, to get there you have to drive over a mountain on a little tiny road.

I have not thought about that in years. What a great burger. That was a some kind of food that he had. I understand that he is back in the oil patch as a geologist. He was in Africa for awhile. Old times. He and I brewed beer together. He was some kind of cook.

Mr. Burger in Slaton. Fresh onions melted under the cheese. And the ice in the cokes smelled like the onions melted under the cheese!

Killer, my mom talks about that burger about once a week. It was so good. I know they got tired of the restaurant business, but he could sure cook. After they left and Jamz closed there wasn't anywhere left to eat in Clarendon.
