I just graduated and got offered a job in amarillo and was wondering where the best apartment (cheap-ish, but not in the ghetto), resturants, things to do, how to get into the Amarillo A&M Club, and basically all the little tricks and secrets to amarillo.

Im coming up tomorrow to actually accept the job and i'm guessing ill have to be there in 3 weeks so i'm going to have to find an apartment fast. Any advice for a new Ag to the area?

Congrats on the job. You are going to enjoy Amarillo and the people there. Not many Ags, but they are a tight bunch.

Look for apartments along Bell St. between 34th and I-27, also known as the Canyon E-way.

There are few along Coulter St. also, but given the location, they may be a little more expensive.

Congrats! There are some new apartments that have been built over on Soncy. Not sure on the price. Be sure to visit Hummers and Blue Sky in the very near future.

I too am looking to get involved in the Amarillo A&M Club...I have been here since December, but work has kept me on the road and has just calmed down a bit. Let me know if you find anything out!!!

i looked up the amarillo a&m club up online and i think its basically just an application to fill out and 40 bucks a year so i'm totally up for joining. Hopefully then I can mooch off of ol ags when the only way to get football games is on pay-per-view
