I wish I was going to be up there. Someone ask him if we need to send money in for a certain coaches buyout.

Do we need to RSVP to anyone or just show up???? I don't want to get there and find out the opposite. Things should be real interesting now.

Well, did it happen or did Byrne have to miss it?

Yes he showed. Unfortunately media showed up too so his comments were extreamly censored. No big announcements but I do have a newfound respect for Bill Byrne.

Never having met the man before, I don't think that we could have been more personable. I really enjoyed his presentation. His demeanor is very relaxed, seemed to be very honest adn forthcoming about his expectations for various athletic programs. He answered every question that was asked of him. Altough he is a pro a steering the conversation to the topics that we wanted to talk about (namely anything except football).

He seems to have a VERY good grasp on what it takes to bring success to College Station in all sports. He talked about the effort being made to host more high school events on the campus. Sounds just as put out about the whole VIP thing as the rest of us, but also indicated that all of the NCAA "infractions" were secondary and nothing to worry about.
