Might be good news anyway. El Paisano moved in to the location not too long ago. In addition to typical Tex-Mex dishes, they serve the same kind of tenderloin steak that ZD was famous for.

Back in the old days it was tradition to eat at ZD before walking across to the stadium to watch our team take on those nasty San Angelo Central Bobcats. That tradition can now resume.

The El Paisano location on Chadbourne has been my go-to whenever I was in town. I tried the new location this week, and it delivered.
