What's the best bar in West Texas?

I honestly can't think of a great one. But the Fieldhouse on Industrial in Midland is a pretty good beer joint. I used to like that atmosphere at Riley's. But seeing how body armor is a prereq there, I tend to shy away.

Other opinions?

A good friend of mine, also an '06er, swears by Blaine's Pub in San Angelo. Of course, that could be because she's from Rowena, is friends with Blaine, and has been going there since probably before she got her drivers license.

Blaine's is a cool little joint. I don't really know of any places that compare in Midland, Odessa, or Big Spring (yikes!).

The Bar.

Sadly, the only bar I've frequented in West Texas is at the Sweetwater Holiday Inn.

Yes Blaine's is an awesome place.

Dos Amigos, Woofers & Tweeters, The Ranch, Marie's, and The Bar are my favorites. Bennigans and Vette's can be good too.

In Big Spring, the place to be is John Wesley's PPB. It is pool hall with billiard tables, big screen and shuffelboard. Oh and I forgot, ice cold beer.

bars arents so great in Midland... dont travel to Odessa... I guess Id go with La Bodega on Big Spring.. its alright... food is a 6 or 7

EMc77, I think you're right. Every girl I've met at TAMU from Rowena and Miles is a Hoelscher.

WHOOP to that. and yes, there are plenty of Halfmanns, Schwertners, and Wildes.. and we are all related in some way. You can't blame us.. blame our parents and their parents. PS.... Blaines is a great place, just watchout....dancing on the tables is a common recreational pastime. Scrub Pub is another fav of mine.
