I know absolutely nothing about the city but one of my acts wants to be routed through there.

Anyone know the good places for bands to play there? Bars are just fine if they have live music.

the only thing I can think of is Jody Nix's Stampede hall, a pretty Western kind of place

you might look at San Angelo and Blaine's pub
Midland has few spots as does Abilene

It's Big Spring, no 's' at the end. The locals will tear you apart if you say Springs!

Here's the show schedule from a Big Spring band that is on my mySpace friends list. It has the name of a couple of venues, and maybe you could contact these guys and ask them.

Call KBST radio and talk to Tim Knox or email him at timknox@kbst.com. Their website is www.kbst.com. They will have all of the information you need and maybe help sponsor a show. They are a dual format station with country and rock stations. We look foreward to seeing a show.
