I have a client in Odessa that I will be taking out to lunch / dinners in the future - I need to know where is a good place to take them besides the country club. Any kind of food will do, just need something better than the $4 fajita meal ordered in spanish at the place around the corner.

Big Daddys had good fish and I believe they have a hooters now plus all of the other chains that are along 42nd.

Arthur Ray's Diner is interesting - Soul Food, cash only! Very unique.

Barn Door is good for lunch or Dinner. Good steaks.

Zuchi's is upscale Italian.

I have heard of La Bodega, any idea on the food there?

La Bodega is one of my favorite restaurants anywhere. Any time I was home from college we'd usually go down to Midland and eat at the one there.

I'd recommend getting something other than your usual tex-mex there though. Anything with shrimp is good. The Carne Asada, Steak Tamqueno, and fajitas are all really good too. And the salsa is probably my all time favorite.

Abuelos in Midland, right off the loop by Chili's. Classy and has a bar. The food is pretty good too.
