I grew up and graduated from Harlingen High School. I am now in Frisco Tx just north of Dallas/Plano. Does anyone know where i could get my chops on some decent mexican food around here. I have tried a few places and i cant say that it is terrible, but nothing like the hole in the walls you find littered from Browsville to McAllen.

Hate to tell you this but I left the Valley in 1976 and the only good mexican food and tacos I get are when I go back to visit. The Mexican Food north of San Antonio / Corpus is Americanized. Nothing like the Valley food that we love.

doubt very many if any good places in Frisco playa...u need to go to Dallas and go to the barrio....sure there are plenty of hole in the wall places there

My son lives in Plano and I'll ask him the next time we talk on the phone, however I have never found any good mexican food north of San Antonio. (You have to look pretty hard there too.)

Well, I spoke with my son this evening and he says your out of luck in Frisco, Allen, or Plano. Apparently there was a pretty good place down a little south of Love Field in Dallas but it burned down. Guess I can't be of help.
