Spring Break: Padre Resorts report lower turnout......?

e.) Spring break minors are afraid of going to Mexico due to drug cartel violence in Matamoros and feat being kidnapped

You know less and less people who actually get "spring break".

I am gonna go with prices.

My senior year (1999) in HS we stayed at the Sheraton in a two bedroom suite with a full kitchen and living area. I am prety sure the total for the week was about 2K. I looked up the same room for last fall the the price was at $600/night. That wasnt even the Sprink Break rate....ouch!
