Has anyone gone to Pepper's since it has been re-open? My sorority sister was telling me that they changed the atmopshpere and it's pricy. Her and her husband spent $70 and she had the burger, he had a steak and 2 beers.

The menu ranges from $10 burgers to $60 Kobe beef steaks. It is weird going in there because it isn't anywhere like it used to be. It is uptown, but not overly pricey.

But don't expect to go in there and start pounding shots and drinking quart beer.

I went in there on Friday myself..and the atmosphere is very different from what was there before.

Its similiar to Lansky's or Santa Fe in terms of the menu and prices. I kinda like the new inside look and the gigantic 60" plasma at the bar, but its defintely not a place where you'd go with drinking buddies.

The lights are bright and the music is soft. I haven't eaten there yet.

Sounds like it's worth a try. I didn't like the old Pepper's, the food was not very good, and the place was always dirty. The bar may have been good but I don't drink much... it's not good for us old farts who take lots of pills. We're beginning to get some fairly decent eating places out on the North side of town. I think I am going to take my wife to Lansky's for our anniversary next Tuesday. I hope it is still good.

I would like to try the food at Pepper's. I bet it is pretty good. It just isn't the old dirty drinkin' hole Pepper's anymore. I guess the Valley trend is to be upscale, rather than laid back.

I think it was about $40.00.
