Twenty five inches since July 4th. Rained three times this week including yesterday and today. A mosquito carried away a small horse from next door. (well, almost!)

At least I got the yard mowed last friday before it started again. I hope that hurricane Gustavo goes some place else. I would feel sorry for myself but we have nothing compared to those poor folks in Roma!

I hear thunder and I'm afraid its more rain, I cut the grass on Saturday and the grass is already about a foot tall.

If you decide to mow be sure and stop by to get some mosquito repellant. They grow them big here in the swamplands.

no kidding i have been eaten alive by these mosquitos! I hate it. I have a big bite on my forehead.

Looking at the forecasts, I think we will be safe from Gustavo!

Good golly, the mosquitos are ridiculous. I helped my g/f on a range in Kingsville this past weekend and was eaten alive. I counted THIRTY-SEVEN (37) bites on just my arms alone!

YES!, I think the rain has stopped. I got the yard mowed but I think I need a "hay bailer" now. The city sprayed down my road last night and it knocked the mosquito population down.

I was "stand-in" parent tonight at my grandson's football practice at Abundant Grace and the mosquitos were still bad out there. I guess they need to toughen those 3rd graders up a little. :-)

So hopefully we have sunshine till we get our first cold front in mid October.

Hmmm... Well the respite was nice and I am glad we missed getting Ike, but it is raining hard here again on Sunday afternoon.

I sure wish the city of Edinburg would pick up the chopped up trees from Dolly. Guess it is our tax dollars in action.

I mean what the heck is going on????? Most years we're around 20 inches and I bet we've gotten twice that since June!
