Thought it was closed and then opened as another restaurant? Something called the Woodlands?

The old mill at the corner of 10th and Nolana closed a few years back. They moved it out on North 10th. It was run in a very poor manner. Bad food and bad service. A perfect example of how to screw up an eating place.

Since it closed, a local real estate broker updated the place and reopened under the name of The Woodlands. It is an interesting place. Visually, it is a real pretty place with lots of antelope and deer around the place. I guess the owner is a hunter.

I have a suspicion that it may not make it. I have eaten there several times and the food is so so, but the service is spotty. It's a shame because I am sure that a lot of money went into the building. I don't see many people in there when I have gone.

are you kidding? Woodlands is constantly PACKED every time I go by that place. I pass it every day to and from work and live right by there.

You could be right. My wife and I eat early (I can do that because I am retired) just to beat the crowds. I am never there at 12:30 or 6:30.

Incidentally, try their fried mushrooms. They are very nice.
