I remember the 21 trees we planted at Leal Elementary in Mission in memory of the students that lost their lifes that day. That was a very sad day for all the families affected and the community.

I was in the Valley visiting the folks when that happened. I cannot believe it has been that long. School tragedies are tough to take. Look up the story about the New London, Texas school explosion. Several hundred died that day.
