The men are accused of selling pirated DVDs at a flea market off FM 755 in Rio Grande City on Saturday, April 17th.
Court records show that ICE agents seized 6,698 pirated DVDs worth $127,262 dollars at their booth.
Bazan told investigators he had been running the booth for a year to a year and a half making up to $2,400 dollars per weekend.
Both Treviño-Ramirez and Sanchez-Vela admitted to working for Bazan.
Court records show that Treviño-Ramirez got paid $30 dollars a day while Sanchez-Vela got paid $75 dollars a day.
ICE agents announced on Monday that the three were arrested as part of “Operation Spring Cleaning” – a nationwide crackdown against counterfeit merchandise.
Authorities arrested 45 people and seized $263 million dollars worth of counterfeit merchandise as part of the operation.
The flea market vendors appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Dorina Ramos in McAllen last Monday.
Court records show that Bazan and Sanchez-Vela are American citizens while Treviño-Ramirez is a Mexican national from Camargo, Tamaulipas.
Judge Ramos denied bond for them until a Thursday morning hearing.
Proceedings for that hearing were not available on Monday.
