Lol the traffic to exit the island is worse than anything ive ever seen. Backed up past retama.

So i got out and walked ahead to scout, eventually bringing pizza then later ice cream back to the car. I directed my wife to get on the road by the bay for 10 blocks or so and apparently that saved us. A couple that left before us got home 2 solid hours after we did. Took us 2.5 hours from claytons to mcallen.

There was a bunch of huge kites flying at the convention center and there seemed to be a large crowd out there. Dunno. Beautiful clear blue sky day.

Its a crime there's not a 2nd bridge.

What if the current causeway was tolled for 3 years to help fund the 2nd bridge? Or an additional hotel tax?

How many people would be for or opposed these measures?

Actually, the proposed second causeway would be tolled. Makes sense from the development standpoint. Don't have enough money to just go building bridges so recoup the investment over a 40 or 50 year window with the toll. Plus, as cheap as everyone is down here I'd have it to myself most days;-))

This project is supposed to be completed by March 1st.

I would've gone to the beach this Sunday if not for the construction.
