I personally think that Taco Cabana is better than anything my mom, grandma, or sister could make.

My sister tried to make authentic Shrimp Tampico and it was horrible....I told her to stick to making TRADITIONAL items like cinnamon twists from Taco Bell.

Nothing beats the cooking of a "traditional" (hair in curlers, wearing a vata, and chanclas at HEB) Mexican grandmother.

I can't believe that anyone would compare the !@#$%^ stuff at Taco Cabana to real mexican food from home, or a real Mexican place. Sheesh.

My grandaughter (12) talked me into stopping there last month and it was terrible. There are many good Mex food places in the valley andf Taco Cabana is not one of them.
