RGV, I was told by the staff working there that corporate made the decision the week before and the staff was informed the Thursday before the Sunday they closed. I know that even if the restaurant is not owned by the corporation, a franchise can pull their franchisee rights from owners for various reasons...

I checked their website and it makes no mention of any Outbacks south of Corpus Christi. There are many others in Texas and they are still on the list. I guess it means that not all of them were closed.
