Commercial Citrus is under control from what I have been told.

Residential Citrus trees are considered to be the problem spreading the disease in this area.

I have 4 citrus trees in my yard and so do all of my neighbors. I wonder how one would tell if their trees are affected. Given the speed that the groves in the valley are being bulldozed, it probably won't make much difference soon anyway. Blossoms sure smell weet this time of the year.

The USDA is doing free testing for residents. The only way to know if a tree is infected is by testing as the effects take 2 years after infestation to show.

Commercial producers are already infected and under containment.

100% of Florida's citrus crop is infected.

Extension service at the Stock Show said to look at new growth: If there are only 2 pale green leaves budding in the shape of rabbit ears, you'd best have your trees checked out. Also, pre-treating your citrus with malathion should keep those psyllids away.
