We have an immediate opening for a Safety Coordinator in Carrizo Springs, TX. Mercer Well Service, subsidiary of Superior Energy Services, is based out of Gainesville, TX. We operate in 12 different states with over 200 workover/completion rigs.

Safety Coordinator will be responsible for the following duties:

-Monthly Rig Inspections
-Daily, Weekly, Monthly Safety Meetings
-Safety Training Facilitation
-Document Retention
-Incident Investigation and RCA
-Injury Case Management
-Drug and Alcohol testing of employees
-Various Safety Audits
-Interaction with employees
-Regulatory Compliance
-Visible Safety Leadership

The safety coordinator should possess the following qualifications:

-Good time management
-Good organizational skills
-Ability to relocate to within 75 miles of Carrizo Springs, TX
-Teamwork attitude
-Strong moral & work ethics
-"do what it takes" attitude
-Problem Solving capabilities
-Self Motivated and able to work without specific direction


As a safety coordinator for our operations in the Eagle Ford, you will be responsible for implementing all HSE objectives and leading HSE initiatives. You will also be responsible for directing and overseeing all local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.

You will gain valuable experience and knowledge in not only the HSE field, but in downhole operations as well. Many safety professionals within our organization have made a very successful transition to operations.

Bi-Lingual in Spanish is preferred but not required. Previous Health, Safety, & Environmental experience is preferred but not required. New graduates are welcome to apply.
