Howdy, folks.

Coming in for a quick, two-day business trip. Looking to fly in earlier on Sunday to catch the Cowboys game at noon, so any recommendations for a sports bar or other cool bar are appreciated.

Also, restaurant and hotel recs would be helpful as I've never been down there before and my company typically doesn't venture down there either.

If you're in the Balley, just follow any one of the thousands of POS cars and trucks with old, dusty, just-out-of-the-closet Cowboy paraphernalia all over it. They'll end up at a Buffalo Wild Wings, Wings-n-More, Wings and Rings or Wing Stop eventually. What you do from there is up to you...

Oh, and the Holiday Inn Express in Brownsville was recently renovated. Same folks who own it own the Hampton Inn, too. Outside of that there is a Staybridge Suites off 77/I-69E and a Holiday Inn green sign. Good luck!

If you are in Browntown be sure to try the Vermillion. It is a great place to eat. Ask anyone they shoud know. It is right off Bocachica and Paredes line road.

Gazpacho's near the Sunrise Mall. Try the azteca soup and a torta.

This is absolutely correct! I have eaten in Brownsville only a few times and the Vermillion always comes out on top!

We tried out Cobbleheads a couple of weeks ago when we were down there for a soccer tournament. I wanted something outside by a resaca since it was a beautiful day and it came though with a really nice outdoor deck. Typical sports bar type of food.
